On Monday night, Former President George W. Bush sat down with Today Show host Matt Lauer, to discuss his life before and during his run as president of the United States. During the one-hour long NBC special Matt Lauer asked questions ranging from his decisions in Iraq, to how he handled Hurricane Katrina. However, one of the most shocking moments came as Mr. Bush said that his worst moment as president occurred when rapper Kanye West claimed that he didn’t care about black people. “The suggestion that I was racist because of the response to Katrina represented an all-time low,” Mr. Bush told Matt Lauer. “I didn’t appreciate it then; I don’t appreciate it now,.. It’s not true, and it was one of the most disgusting moments in my presidency.” Really Mr. Bush? Considering all the things that went wrong during your presidency, Kanye West’s comments should have been the farthest thing on your mind.
